Welcome to the Library

Shilo Smith and Joshua Brown are your St. Petersburg College (HEC) librarians. Your librarians are available to help you progress through your research course or assignment. The librarians will assist you with the following:

  • Discuss research methods and strategies
  • Answer APA Style format and citation questions
  • Provide demonstrations on how to search for journal articles in various databases

If you encounter problems or need help with your research, please contact Ms. Smith or Mr. Brown and schedule a research consultation. The librarians will consult with you by email, phone, and in-person consultations may also be scheduled.

We have writing tutors available at the HEC library. You may email them with questions, send drafts for feedback, or call and make an appointment. They can help with drafting, organization, revision, and more, but please allot ample time for them to review your work and get back to you. Please contact Grace Renninger, if you need writing assistance.
