The Food Forest

St. Pete-Gibbs

The St. Pete-Gibbs Food Forest was started in 2016 as a SPC Permaculture Club project, spearheaded by founder Garrick Roe, and librarian Jennifer Bowne. They created a garden from recycled and upcycled materials from local brush recycling centers. Every year, the club continues planting, and the garden has since grown into a self-sustaining jungle! Located between the Natural Sciences building and the Gymnasium, the garden features banana, pineapple, mango, avocado, papaya, moringa, loquat, dragonfruit, olive, cabbage, a variety of herbs, and more!
