Same Author (2 or more resources) -- Template

Works Cited

Author's Last Name, Author's First Name. Book Title. Publisher,

Publication Date.

Use --- Instead of  Repeating Author's Name. Book Title. Publisher,

Publication Date.

Walters, Glenn D. The Criminal Lifestyle: Patterns of Serious Criminal

Conduct. Sage, 1990.

---. Drugs and Crime in Lifestyle Perspective. Sage, 1994.

 

Same Author -- In-Text Citation -- Examples

According to Walters, "A direct quote from the book" (The

Criminal Life, 25). "You may also add the author's last name, brief title

of  work, and page number after the quote in parentheses" (Walters,

Drugs 119)

or

A paraphrased sentence will have the author's name and the

page number at the end (Walters, The Criminal Life 25).

When paraphrasing the same author of two different works, the in-text

citation includes a brief title of the work (Walters, Drugs 33).
