SPC Libraries provide downloadable audiobooks in two main collections... NetLibrary and Overdrive Digital Library

How do I get started finding and downloading eAudiobooks?
If you've never used Overdrive to search for eAudiobooks, click on the Getting Started with Digital Media icon above for a guided tour.

How long can I check out eAudiobooks?  Can I return them early?
Lending periods vary from title to title.  Due to publishing restrictions, items cannot be returned early.  For a complete list of all information related to borrowing eAudiobooks and circulation policies, please visit the Overdrive Borrowing Help page.
Can I burn eAudiobooks to a cd and/or play them on my iPod/ mp3 player?
The publisher of each title decides whether or not to allow the title to be burned to CD; this decision is at the publisher's discretion. Many publishers enable this functionality while others choose not to permit this use of their content. To use OverDrive Media Console, you need to have Windows Media Player 9 Series (or newer) installed. To download Windows Media Player, click here.

To transfer OverDrive WMA Audiobooks to an Apple device, you need to have iTunes v9.1 (or newer) installed. To download iTunes, click here.

To transfer OverDrive WMA Audiobooks to a Zune device, you must have OverDrive Media Console v3.1 (or newer), Zune application v3.0 (or newer), and Zune device firmware v3.0 (or newer) installed. Before you can transfer OverDrive WMA Audiobooks to a Zune, you must close any program to which your Zune is connected. To download the Zune application, click here.

    EBSCO eAudiobooks

    Which portable audio devices are compatible with Audiobooks on EBSCOhost?


    Audiobooks from EBSCOhost can be transferred to portable devices after they have been downloaded.

    Audiobooks can be transferred to the following supported devices:

    • All Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

      Note: When transferring Audiobooks to an Apple device, ensure the device is connected to your computer as they are transferred directly to the device during the downloading process.

    • Devices compatible with Windows Media Player.

      When downloading Audiobooks to Windows Media Player (WMP), they are downloaded to your computer and can be played using WMP. If you have a portable device that is compatible with Windows Media Player, Audiobooks can be transferred to that device using WMP.
