In 2018, following her two consecutive terms as First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama published her memoir, Becoming. As the first African American woman to fill that role, she reflects on the challenges as well as the accomplishments of her life to date, noting that she, like all of us, is forever in the process of “becoming.”
You do not have to have read the book to enter. However, to be considered, your entry needs to address one of these themes of Becoming.
