What is my borrower ID and PIN?
The Borrower ID is your student number and the Pin is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.  This information can help you log into the library databases, request items, and renew items in your account.

What is your phone number and how do I find the library?
Visit http://www.spcollege.edu/central/libonline/location/index.html and every campus library's contact information and directions will be provided.

Can I check out a laptop from the library?
 Laptops can be checked out for use in the library with your student ID.

Can I check out library materials if I am enrolled in SPC’s Early College and the SP Collegiate High School?
You are an SPC student and as such can borrow materials by presenting your student ID card at any of the campus libraries.  Your Student ID card functions as your library card. When accessing our online collections, just enter your Borrower ID (student number) and PIN(last 4 digits of your social security number) when prompted.

Can I use the library from home or my laptop?
Sure. Off campus access is available 24/7 from any computer that has Internet access.  Remember to have your student number and PIN to access articles, ebooks, audiobooks, and other material through the library.

How do I cite this book, journal, website, etc?
Information on citing these items can be found in “Citation Help” on the library’s homepage.

How do I get a book from another campus?
This is called Interlibrary Loan. We have an online form you will need to complete and allow at least a week to receive your book. You can also request a book directly from the online catalog

How do I sign-up for a library instruction for my class?
There is access to the “Instruction Request Form” on the homepage. However you can also contact the library directly to schedule an instruction.

How late is the library open?
Click on “Hours and Locations” to get this information for all the SPC campus libraries

Where do I find the course reserve books?
Course reserve books are given to the library by the instructors. They can be used for up to four hours in the library and are located at the Circulation Desk.

Where can I find a Journal?
The library has online and printed journals. The online journals are in the databases.

What is a scholarly Journal?
Also referred to as peer reviewed journals are journals that contain articles written and reviewed by experts in their field.

What is RefWorks?
Is an online research management, writing and collaboration tool.  It allows students, faculty and researchers to easily gather, manage, store and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies.
